Recently on display during the James Island Cultural Center's inaugural juried exhibition in Charleston, SC
I used a semi-translucent white on wet backgrounds to bring out the pebbled feeling of the mortar next to warm brick weathered smooth. Over the glass i used an iridescent color-shifting glaze which flashes in afternoon.
I saw this lantern alongside a beautiful cool blue pool, overlooking rolling Tuscany hillsides at the Casale dello Sparviero, in Castellina in Chianti.

He is a born and raised Charlestonian, and now makes his home on James Island with his wife and daughter, where he works from a small studio on the Intracoastal Waterway. He has been an exhibiting member of the Charleston Artist Guild and the Folly Beach Art Guild. He was a founding member of the Islands Art Gallery on James Island, where he frequently held demos, lectures and exhibitions.
